This fly screen on my Sportster 48 provides much needed wind deflection, without the physical and financial volume of a full-sized shield.
I'm 5'11" and the wind mildly hits me at my upper chest and lower neck with this screen on. It takes most of the edge off at 55 MPH and up.
It also looks dope and was of easy to intermediate difficulty to install on the bike. Thread locker is a must for this.
The instructions could be better, but it's not hard to figure out.
The black screen is the way to go.

well since i have a Frankenstein 1999 Xl1200S Sportster Sport with 2012 XR1200X suspension and 18" wheels front and rear... and classic speedo and tach... it was a calculated shot in that the XR1200 guys were running these by just taking out the rubber spacers and I used slightly longer M6 bolts in the clamps and its just about perfect.. I get a little glare from the LED headlight up the back side of the screen but a black headlight brow will eliminate that...

Looks very nice. I had one on a previous bike and added to the style of the bike as well as reducing wind on the body significantly enough to enjoy highway riding more. I would recommend to anyone looking for a smaller, functional screen for their bike!

Didn’t exactly follow instructions. Found it a lot easier to assemble the arms to the windscreen with the exception of the outboard clamp, slip this assembly just above the lower tree, then slide up to the upper tree, and finally attach the outboard clamps. This saved removal of the clutch cable guide and the cable. Also, didn’t have to mess with trying to get an allen tool in the tight spot between the headlight and the windscreen mount.
As far as size, it does a pretty good job deflecting the wind. Simply wish it was a just a wee bit wider and taller. Otherwise, design and materials, awesome.

It's definitely a small windscreen.. butttt... It's pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I think it's perfectly sized for those looking to keep the street sportster look.. wouldn't suggest a 1000 mile run with it.. but for normal town/ city use.. it's perfect

I put this on a 2017 HD Sportster 48. This thing is great! It's small and doesn't look like it would do much good But at 65 MPH, I don't have any wind buffeting and my helmet doesn't move. I have a a HD Heritage with the factory windshield and I think I have less wind with your Fly Screen than the Heritage. It probably wont work as well in the rain but I try and avoid riding in the rain. I have it mounted as high in the tubes as I can to get better results. I am very well pleased with it.

I am fortunate enough to have more than one bike and whenever I change them my first additional purchase is always a Dart Flyscreen. They are perfect for my riding preferences (ie away from motorways!) where maximum speed is less important than comfort. The Classic, as on my 48, is just big and shaped well enough to deflect most wind buffeting to chest height after which a full face helmet takes care of the rest.

There’s virtually no wind or pressure from
0 to 50mph. This was very noticeable prior to installing the flyscreen. From 60-80mph cruising is stabilized, less wind to the chest. I was very surprised how well this piece functions while still looking sharp. Great job Dart!

I wished I would have found this sooner. The Harley Dealer kept telling me it’s wither a big windshield or a little ferring. This is the perfect go between. Not huge and in the way but still blocks the wind. It enhances the bike and looks good. I would recommend to all sportster owners.

Geliefert wurde es in einer vorbildlichen Verpackung.
Die einzelnen Teile waren zusätzlich durch Klarsichtfolie geschützt.
Der Aufbau des shield war nach wenigen Minuten erledigt.
Alle Teile befinden sich in einer 1A Qualität und Passgenauigkeit.
Der Anbau an meine 48 mit Lenkerumbau (Tallboy-Lenker) ging relativ einfach von der Hand.
Das shield sitzt bombenfest, da wackelt nichts.
Mir gefällt das shield an meiner Maschine sehr gut. Ein größeres würde die Optik zu stark beeinflussen.
Man darf nicht zu viel erwarten, aber für seine Größe hält es doch schon einiges an Wind ab.
Also ich kann das shield mit ruhigem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

I have fitted it in about 45 min. Instruction suggest to remove a clutch cable hook. It was not needed on my one. I needed just push the clutch hook little bit. I travel to friend wedding and I did around 250 miles there and back in one day at motorway in very unpleasant front wind. It works OK. It is not touring wind screen but HD 48 is not touring bike either. It does excellent job to allow cruise at 70 mph at ease.

I love the Flyscreen. It was a bit hard to get adjusted to the right height, raising and lowering it. When I got it right WOW what a difference. it has been very hard to find any type of windscreen that will fit on my bike as the risers are larger than most others. i highly recommend the product.

Installation took about a half hour, probably less if I figured out how the brackets fit on the fork tubes in advance. Everything lined up perfectly and it was a great installation. Love the way it looks (it was exactly what I wanted) and it does deflect the air off my chest. It's minimal as I wanted for the 48. Great product!

Wasn't sure I will like the looks of this windshield on my the Harley. But as I've put it on the bike - minimalistic design and semi transparent version of the windshield just works. I'm still a fan of less things on the bike, but I bought it to help me fight the air flow on the highway. And it does help! Not so much as I expected but it is definitely and improvement and makes you more comfortable at higher speeds. Pressure to the chest is almost all gone. Now I can feel it only to the shoulders and up.

There is not a lot of selection in NA for Harley Davidson Flyscreens, usually some overpriced, enormous, gaudy thing that's covered in chrome. I found this screen at half the price of comparable items.
I also want to say a big thank you to Customer Service for clearing up an error I made when ordering.
The Piranha screen installed with two Allan keys in under 15 minutes, and the quality is incredibly high, with no swirls or mold burrs. I will use Dart for every bike I have, and highly recommend to anyone looking for a great looking, high end, affordable windscreen. Beyond satisfied!

Great experience from the start. At first I ordered the wrong size for my bike, so I e-mailed customer service and they amended my order and emailed me back almost immediately. As far as the screen itself, it was exactly as expected. Great quality guys! It takes a lot of wind pressure off the chest while making the air around the helmet a smidge softer without any buffeting. Not a touring windshield obviously, but it makes long local trips and highway riding a lot more enjoyable. Looks great on my HD 48!

The Piranha screen installed with two Allan keys in under 15 minutes, and the quality is incredibly high, with no swirls or mold burrs. I will use Dart for every bike I have, and highly recommend to anyone looking for a great looking, high end, affordable windscreen. Beyond satisfied!

On a side note the package should include a tiny disposable tube of medium locktite , other that that it was delivered quickly ,packaged nicely ,and instructions were very clear ,cheers

Took 15 minutes to fit to my 48. Easier than you think! Looks neat and more unobtrusive than a windscreen. Helps keep the pressure off your chest at higher speeds. I like it!

Great experience from the start. At first I ordered the wrong size for my bike, so I e-mailed customer service and they amended my order and emailed me back almost immediately. As far as the screen itself, it was exactly as expected. Great quality guys! It takes a lot of wind pressure off the chest while making the air around the helmet a smidge softer without any buffeting. Not a touring windshield obviously, but it makes long local trips and highway riding a lot more enjoyable. Looks great on my HD 48!
